 | New Project SEE-GRID is Launched SEE-GRID, the South Eastern European Grid-Enabled eInfrastructure Development project, was launched on 1 May 2004. The project aims to ease the digital divide between South Eastern European countries and the rest of Europe, pave the way for future enlargement of the European Union and contribute to the stability and peace in the SEE region, an area of unrest until recently. The initiative is coordinated by the Greek Research and Technology Network (GRNET) and consists of representatives from National Grid Initiatives in Bulgaria (CLPP-BAS), Romania (ICI), Turkey (TUBITAK-ULAKBIM), Hungary (MTA-SZTAKI), Albania (ASA), Bosnia Herzegovina (BIHARNET), F.Y.R of Macedonia (UKIM), ... | "Come in the Virtual to see how many we are for Real" Leader Association runs between December 2003 - November 2004 the project "Come in the Virtual to see how many we are for Real". The project is financed through the Dutch Program Matra-KAP. The project aims at reducing the phenomenon of social exclusion, of people with HIV/AIDS. At the end of the month, a new site will be launched, www.lider-plus.ro, a virtual space for these people.
